What was The Reformation all about?
If you are unfamiliar with The Reformation, on October 31, 1517, in Wittenberg, Germany, Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the Castle Church. This historical moment is considered the spark of The Protestant Reformation. This Reformation was very important in the preservation of the Gospel in the face of the Catholic Church which at that time had replaced God’s truth with the traditions of men.
The Five Solas, are slogans that were popularized by the Reformers during the Protestant Reformation of the Church (1350-1648). These slogans are based on biblical truths and sound doctrine. Knowing and understanding The Five Solas is important for your children–it will help them to read and apply Scripture to their lives.
