FREE ONE WEEK ONLY Virtual Educational Event for Homeschoolers and a GIVEAWAY!

Do you employ a lot of YouTube videos in your homeschool? What about educational online games? I have a resource for you that is going to knock your socks off!

I was just introduced to Streamable Learning recently. I was skeptical considering I have had the chance to look at quite a few online educational programs geared towards homeschoolers. This was very different and the price is right!

If you are like me and don’t have the time or the opportunity to visit museums or even your local zoo, this resource will be well worth your investment. Streamable Learning will bring the experience of visiting an observatory, history museum, archaeological dig site, science museum, or even an aquarium into your living room with a LIVE host who is an expert in their field to answer your questions. I have been blown away by Streamable Learning’s content.

Want to try Streamable Learning for FREE? Check out their FREE Fall Homeschool Week (October 24 – November 1, 2017). More details are below!

What is Streamable Learning?

Streamable Learning is a virtual education experience that can be used to support your homeschool no matter the age of your children. It has events available for grades K-12. I actually enjoyed watching them too as an adult!

Streamable Learning offers hundreds of LIVE and interactive programs for classrooms and homeschoolers across the nation. They work with an astounding list of content partners including but not limited to: Carnegie Museum of Natural History, The Center for Learning with Nature, Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, Ford’s Theatre, Liberty Science Center, The Ocean Lab, Mount Washington Observatory, and the list goes on. You can find the full list of content partners HERE.

The topics covered on Streamable Learning in their LIVE programs are vast. I found videos covering science, technology, engineering, math, culture, reading, literature, health and wellness, art, history, careers, essential skills, and more! My daughter and I have already enjoyed their programs on video game creation and poetry writing.

I have been blown away by Streamable Learning’s content, and I know you will be too. This is nothing like a YouTube video. The videos are so well done. The teachers are engaging, the topics interesting even to me as an adult, and I love that they often give extra content both before and after the LIVE events to support further learning on the subject. LIVE Q&A’s are available at the end of every event so that your kids can interact with the instructor! How cool is that?

How to Implement Streamable Learning for Homeschooling

From a practical perspective, I am always trying to find something to fill the gaps in our time, specifically for my 8 year old with dyslexia. If I am not there to read with or to her, she doesn’t know what to do. I am so excited to have found Streamable Learning because I know that she will be learning quality material while I am working with the other kids during our homeschooling day. For the future LIVE events, I plan for us to all take time out of our homeschool schedule to watch and learn! I booked future events for our family to learn about poetry writing, astronomy, video game creation, and even a LIVE Jazz event just for kids!

Just think of all the ways that you could use Streamable Learning in your homeschool? Whether you just want something for sick days or want to create unit studies surrounding Streamable Learning’s LIVE events, there is something for everyone and every age.

  1. I would use this program to supplement my Homeschool family and enrich it by incorporating language arts, math, science and social studies.

  2. I live in a rural area, and being able to use Streamable Living in place of visiting museums that are quite a distance away from the comfort of my home is great!!

  3. This is so awesome. I never heard of it before, but I would really love to share this resource with my children. We are always watching you tube videos because we either don’t have what we are looking for around us or we don’t have time or money to go on a field trip since we are a large family. This would be so great to have a live teacher and be able to ask questions. Thankful for the chance. Would be great to win. 🙂

  4. This is so neat. I’d love to use it to suppliment science as I struggle to fit it all in sometimes. What a neat concept. The kids sometimes get tired of just me teaching. 🙂

  5. I just signed up! We are going to do the Moon, Bats, and Day of the Dead and sessions. Excited to catch up on some science and learn of new holidays.

  6. I homeschool my six daughters and two of them have dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. My two daughters with the learning “glitches” have a lot of trouble reading, so I would use this amazing tool to help them have a way they could feel like they are learning independently. They love to do things independently, but it is really hard when you have a lot of difficulty reading. I believe this would also help them gain more confidence. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!

  7. I would use this in my homeschool as a supplement to keep learning fun and exciting. I would also use some of it to introduce new topics that we don’t usually cover in our homeschool.

  8. I would use this to take those really cool trips we could never actually do in person, and then spark new topics for research and study.

  9. My youngest and I love using documentaries too enrich our classes. Live classes would help him, especially as he’s dyslexic and just reading material can be stressful and difficult. I’ve been searching for a way to incorporate internet/ live stream based learning into our school.

    • I signed us up for the class on the Moon, the bats, and the owls. I’m most excited about the moon class, as we are studying Astronomy in our high school science. The other two classes are simply for fun, since the below his grade level.

  10. My children watch videos and news stories while we eat breakfast. I also love to reference videos for things that we cannot experience ourselves. I would love to use the videos.

  11. We live on a rural farm, the closest town is extremely small with no museums or educational options besides the local library. We would use this service to help education my 3 children in areas that we cannot visit locally.

  12. This would be so awesome to be able to visit places that we don’t have ready access to… would use it a lot in homeschooling!
